“Bach Part One is a loud, obnoxious, hot mess of a album that was created strictly off intuition,” Christian McKenna explains. “We hope it’s vulnerability allows a emotional retort from the listener. I tried to sound immediate.”
Electronic music collective End Christian have a lineup that would make any extreme music fan curious. With members of Brutal Truth, Total Fucking Destruction, Starkweather, Fad Nauseum and more in the group, they draw from eclectic backgrounds to create trance-inducing soundscapes and songs. Their second album, Bach Part One, takes full advantage of that. Featuring guest appearances from J.K. Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu), Yanni Papadopoulos (Stinking Lizaveta) and Mike Hill (Tombs), End Christian bounce from psychedelic trip-hop to blackened noise to mellow ambient seemingly on a whim.
Despite the extremely extreme pedigree of the band, there’s little brutality to be found. What you will find is a lush record that can take the listener on a tour across sounds and ideas in a comfortable and memorable way.
