MRC Riddims is the DJ/production team of Alap Now and Merc Yes from Harlem, NY. Their single goal is to make the heaviest fun possible on the dancefloor. Exploring genres from trap to pop to heavy club music, MRC Riddims manage to bring their NYC flavor to all that they touch. A deep groove with a playful bounce are a common thread throughout their distinct sound.
Anda Szilagyi is a singer and multi instrumentalist composer who hails from Harlem, NYC. Born to 2 classical concert pianists, she began playing piano as soon as she could hold her own head up. She began her study of classical guitar at age 13 which branched out to include rock, folk, reggae and jazz. In high school she took up jazz trumpet, which she majored in at the New School, earning her degree in Jazz Performance and Composition.
For thirty years Alap Momin has been at the center of sonic innovation. Beginning his musical journey as a kid in punk bands to starting his first recording studio at age 19, Momin’s deep love of music made him gravitate towards a wide range of styles. He found his footing early as a producer and DJ.
River Hooks who hails from New York City is a self taught multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer and engineer. She was born and raised in the streets of District of Columbia and Maryland. She’s also no stranger to the music industry, as she works as a full time music publicist at ViciousKid PR. Her debut EP 11:11 is her first fully self-produced project since her 2018 single “Worth it,” which now holds over 40,000 streams.
Consisting of Daniel D’Errico and Alap Momin, New York-based production duo ‘Ice Cream’ share a compulsion for exploring new tones and textures with the goal of creating a universal primitive vibe within their music.
Ashley Tobias, THATGIRLTOBI, was born on an Army base in Arizona, raised in New Jersey, but found her home in Astoria, Queens. She earned her BFA from Montclair State University and made her off-Broadway debut in Freckleface The Musical, based on the New York Times bestselling book by Julianne Moore. She toured internationally in the cast of Green Day’s American Idiot, and has shared the stage with Green Day, Hives, Danzig, Die Antwoord, Flogging Molly, and Linkin Park, to name a few acts.
